The biggest benefit of clear braces is that they're virtually invisible in your mouth. Clear aligners are much less obvious than traditional wire braces.
Traditional braces are typically worn for 2-3 years, whereas Invisalign can take as little as 6 months.
Most people describe a slight pressure when they put in a new aligner, but typically, there isn't any pain. Many patients find the tightening appointments of traditional braces to be painful.
You can remove your clear aligners when you brush your teeth, making it much easier to clean your teeth compared to traditional braces.
Invisalign uses the ClinCheck system to generate an accurate digital picture of the finished result before treatment begins.

Highly recommended. Whole team are great. Dr Joe and Brook looked after me through my treatment, they make a great team. Made me felt at ease building up a personal relationship. Their knowledge, professionalism and communication is the best I’ve ever had from any dentist. Predicting Dr Joe will go on to do great things in this field in the future. I’m sure the owners know they’re blessed to have them both.
I can’t thank my dentist and her nurse enough. I am a very nervous/scared patient and because of this have not been to the dentist for more years than I care to remember. I have been coming to Eagle house for a few years now and their kindness, manner and professionalism is above and beyond. Although I still feel a little nervous on visits this is nothing to how I used to be. This is down to the reassurance and care of the team. Thank you so much.
Dr Joe is a star. I am a nervous patient (needle phobic) but he and nurse Brook created such a calm environment and held my hand throughout my treatment. If all dentists were like this nobody would ever be worried about visiting the dentist again. What a great team.
Been frightened of the dentist for 50 + years. They gave me peace of mind and wonderful service. Thank you Marion.
Dr Joe was very gentle, explained everything he was doing and kept checking I was ok throughout my dental procedure. He was ably helped by Nurse Brook.
Invisalign is a clear brace system which uses a sequence of aligners to gradually move your teeth by applying pressure in specific locations.
Invisalign has transformed over 9 million smiles - and counting! Its popularity is due to it offering a discreet solution (the aligners are barely visible) to straighten teeth. The aligners are removable so are suitable to different lifestyles.
At Eagle House Dental our Dentists are experts in Invisalign a and variety of other cosmetic and short-term orthodontic treatments.
Impressions are taken of your teeth and then scanned into 3D modelling software.
A unique set of movements are planned to straighten your teeth and individual aligners are printed to carry out the planned tooth movement.
You will then visit your Invisalign Dentist to have the aligners fitted. The virtually invisible aligners are changed every 7-10 days and gradually reposition your teeth into a smile you'll be proud of.
Each case is individual, for an accurate treatment time please contact us for a free consultation.
On average Invisalign Go takes 3-6 months to straighten your teeth.
Each case is individual, for an accurate price please contact us for a free no-obligation consultation.
Our prices start at £2997 for a dual arch case. 0% interest finance options are available.
1. Free consultation
At the initial consultation we will discuss what you would like to change about your smile, and your Invisalign Dentist will assess your suitability for treatment.
2. Clinical examination
If you're suitable for Invisalign treatment your Dentist will carry out a full orthodontic assessment, which will include taking photos and impressions of your teeth. This information will be sent to the Invisalign Lab.
3. ClinCheck Review
Your impressions will be scanned by the Invisalign Lab and a treatment plan will be formed (the number of aligners you will require). Invisalign's ClinCheck will show you the finished result before treatment begins.
4. Fitting your aligners
Once your aligners are printed they will be delivered directly to your Invisalign Dentist in one complete shipment. We will then make arrangements to fit your first aligner. Your aligners needs to be worn for a minimum of 22 hours per day for the best result.
5. Monitoring progress
Each aligner is numbered in sequence and needs to be changed every 7-10 days. This is simply done by replacing the existing aligner with the next aligner in the sequence and can be done at home. Your progress will be reviewed with your Invisalign Dentist every 2-6 weeks.
6. Retainers fit
Once you've reached the last of your aligners and your Invisalign Dentist is happy with the results, it can be removed and the treatment is complete.
It is really important to plan how we are going to hold your teeth in their new position. Retainers hold the teeth in place so your teeth do not move back to their original position. Retention can either be removable or fixed.
Invisalign can treat a number of mild to moderate discrepancies.
Overbite
The is when the upper front teeth close in front of the lower teeth. An overbite can cause gum damage, jaw pain and sleep apnoea.
Underbite
This is when the lower teeth protrude past the upper front teeth. An underbite can cause difficulty in both speaking and eating, pain in the face and jaw, and eventual tooth and gum problems.
Crossbite
This is when the upper and lower jaws don't line up. A crossbite can cause chipped and worn down teeth and gums.
Gap teeth
This is when there are extra spaces between teeth. A gap between teeth can lead to food getting stuck, which can cause sore gums and in some cases gum disease.
Open Bite
This when the top and bottom teeth don't meet. An open bite can make it difficult to eat, chew and swallow.
Crowded teeth
This is when there isn't enough room in the jaw for teeth to fit normally. Crowded teeth can harm your hygiene by making brushing and flossing more difficult.
Baby and permanent teeth
This is phase 1 orthodontic treatment for growing children with a mix of baby and permanent teeth.
Generally Straighter Teeth
This is when you just want a more beautiful smile.

Disadvantages
As with all orthodontic treatment there will be minor discomfort due to the pressure applied to move your teeth. This usually only lasts a few days after fitting you new aligners. Paracetamol or Ibuprofen can be taken to relieve the discomfort.
Invisalign should not affect your speech but may take a little while to get used to wearing them.
To achieve optimal results, the aligners need to be worn for a minimum of 22 hours a day.
There are a few things to remember when taking care of your aligners:
There a number of different treatments dedicated to different needs.
Invisalign Full can correct a wide number of issues over an average time of about a year.
Invisalign Lite is a between system, allowing for cases to be completed in just 7 months, using fourteen or less aligners.
Invisalign Go is intended for mild to moderate cases and can be used to quickly treat mild crowding, spaces and brace relapse.
Invisalign i7 is designed for mild cases that can be completed in as little as three months.
ClinCheck is software that maps out the path to your smile, right down to the tiniest shift, from your first aligner to your brand-new smile.
Retainers are an important part of any teeth straightening treatment. Without retention, teeth can move slowly back to their original position. Vivera retainers are designed with the same state of the art technology as Invisalign's clear aligners. They are a discreet, comfortable and removable way to ensure your smile is protected for years to come.
